Yoga and Me

My love for yoga...

I am so excited to share my love of yoga with you. My teaching style centers around understanding and strength. In class we focus on a combination of pose structure, flow yoga and restorative styles. I love having interactive classes where people have the opportunity to deepen their personal practice in a group setting. Part of what allows me to facilitate the individual growth of my students, is my extensive study of physiology and kinesiology in a yoga setting. I specialize in knowing the benefits of each pose and how best to achieve that benefit for the unique struggles and strengths of each individual. My classes are designed in a way to allow me the opportunity to provide hands on assistance to students allowing them to best achieve a pose, or offer alternative poses to best reap the intended benefits. I am a firm believer that yoga truly can be for everyone, and has the power to teach us strength and peace in all aspects of our life.

Now that you know a little about my teaching style, here is a little more about my journey. While working at a golf course, I began to regularly practice yoga. I found that with life's challenges and my physical job, it was something I could not live without. Yoga began to change my life, and I felt it was something I had to share! After finishing my yoga teacher training in 2005 I began to teach as often as I could, hoping to spread the word.

I have experience teaching students in multiple environments, in class formats, and private classes, and workshops. I have also had the honor of hosting multiple yoga retreats in wonderful locations. This gives me the chance to combine my love to teaching yoga with my love of feeding people wholesome, nourishing food.
